Fountain Circle Townhomes

Located in the Hidden Valleys country of Central Wisconsin, the Elroy-Sparta State Bike Trail passes through an “unglaciated” wilderness that combines with the natural beauty of the Midwest to create a magical and memorable experience for both families and experienced bicyclists alike.

The trail, created from the abandoned Chicago and Northwestern Railroad in 1965, is 32 miles in length, encompasses three rock tunnels, and passes through five embracing communities. The trail, itself, is covered with limestone screenings and provides a smooth comfortable riding surface, perfect for a multitude of riders at any level.

The trail begins in the town of Elroy and continues through Kendall, Wilton, Norwalk, and ends in Sparta, the “Bicycle Capital of America”. The headquarters for the trail are located in Kendall, along with a multitude of facilities including bike rentals and a historic museum. Trail passes are required for anyone over 16 years of age. A daily pass runs $4 and a season pass is $20. Located 11 miles west of the Mauston exit of I90/94 along Hwy 71, the trail is an accessible hidden gem.
